What is THOT?

THOT is a versatile event and case management system designed to aid medical, fire and other care teams working at public events and conferences.

It stems from the medical team of the Chaos Communication Congresses (CERT) and as such is designed with utmost data protection and accessibility in mind.

THOT's main features include:

Try it yourself with our demo

Our public demo instance is available for you to try out functionality and evaluate whether the tool is the right choice for you.

Please be mindful of what you put in there, please don't add personal data and don't put in slurs or any kind of hateful content. If you do, we'll be forced to put it down and replace it with screenshots instead.

Please note: The demo instance will be cleared of any data regularly and without prior notice, and reflects the latest state of our development branch!

We care for you, too

THOT was designed by volunteers from various German humanitarian aid organisations. As such its interface is mainly in German language but we're working on translations. Although it is designed to accomodate various disabilities and needs in mind, certain features have been omitted for complexity and others simply have not been implemented yet.

Accessibility features include:

Accessibility features already on our roadmap:

Accessibility features we still need help with:

3, 2, 1, go!

Sorry, but we're not THAT fast. THOT is still under heavy development and not quite secure and stable enough to let it cross the street on its own.

THOT is free and open source software licensed under the terms of GPLv3 (GNU General Public License Version 3). A release to the general public - including the appropriate party - is planned for the 38th Chaos Communication Congress in December 2024.

At the moment we're still working on making the system safe and sound. If you want to try it nontheless and join out team of alpha and beta testers, feel free to contact us via the address at the bottom of the page.
